Born in West Virginia, author Jessica Stewart resides in Los Angeles, California, with her husband Matthew, escape artist cats Finny & Phoebe, hateful Chameleon Stamos, and eighteen tarantulas.
When not writing, she enjoys building photo sets, recording and editing videos inspired by her fantasy worlds with her husband, woodworking, drawing, weightlifting, gardening, and generally running amok with her fantastic, highly inspirational girlfriends.
As a young child, she would wander the forests of West Virginia for hours alone, imagining origin stories of the rocks and plants, building fairy houses, and falling in love with nature. The dirt. The bugs. All of it. In short, learning to become a writer.
She, however, did not have a direct path to writing. While she was innately drawn to storytelling and fantasy, it did not occur to her that writing was within her ability until she moved to Los Angeles and met so many encouraging artists and writers, most important of them Christopher Reed, a brilliant screenwriter who became her very patient mentor and friend.
Her debut novel, Keys to the Moon, is in the works and will be one of many in the series.
